The Department has 2 units .Unit I headed by Dr. A.L.Rao and Unit II headed by Dr. V.A.Jaison. Unit II of the department is equipped with state of the art technology to provide the following facilites.
A Consultant Ophthalmic surgeon,he has been working at the koyili hospital since 1987.After completing his MBBS in 1979,he proceeded to do DOMS(1984) and MS (Ophthalmology 1985), all from Govt Medical College Mysore, affiliated to Mysore University. He stood first in the university for both his DOMS and MS.
